Well I just got done reading a post on Lorelle’s website about themes and currently how we are stuck with the 6 or so that are preloaded. Now don’t get me wrong, the themes that wordpress has selected for us to use are top-notch, but it makes it a little hard for us to express our individuality.

I guess to be an individual, you have to be as popular as Scoble’s blog. I guess he gets his own theme because of how much traffic he probably drives to wordpess.com. Seems a little unfair, but then if I were running a blog network and was able to get someone like Scoble to join it, I’d probably let him do whatever he wanted also.

Anyway, things are changing daily. Maybe they will come up with a way for us mere users to modify the themes to our liking. Maybe…

Ok.. I’m somewhat confused. I thought I would have more options for layout then just having a few themes to choose from. I wonder how I’m supposed to modfiy anything. There must be something I’m missing.

 Must dig deeper.

Well I finally got my WordPress invite. Well actually this is my second invite, but I didn’t know there was only a 7 day grace period and I let my first invite expire. So I wasted no time setting this one up. I wasn’t 100% sure on what domain to use, so I just stuck with my normal “arandomact” domain. If I have some kindof divine enlightment on a different name later, I’ll just use up my invite that I have to start yet another blog.

So far my first impressions is this wordpress.com is very clean and neat. But then I expected that. The posting options are a little different and they have this neat photo upload option that isn’t in the downloaded version. I’m going to have to find out if that is a plugin that I can install on my main blog.

Anyway, I don’t want to blabber on too much here. I can see there are things that I’m going to have to play with here. I’ll report on what I find.
